Polishing?

I don't know if this belongs here but here goes.

Does anyone know of a polishing shop/service that does 3rd gen engine parts for a reasonable price other than TwinTurboTeddy?

I know TwinTurboTeddy provides polishing service but I have not been able to get in touch with him via e-mail or pm

I appreciate any help on this matter.

just about any shop should be bale to do the poilishing. it is quite expensive though. if u want to try it yourself you can get the materials and a motor for $300 or less. just be warned it does take a long time. TTT has a damn good price on it though. i have only seen pics of what he does but from those and what everyone says it is damn good

I have tried polishing but it's not for me.
I would rather pay someone else to do it.

lol that is probably a good idea. the dust is really really bad for you. it takes some dedication to do it but the right tools help alot. i know of some thigns that work alot better then sandpaper too

It seem me and you are going down the same path...motor first and now polishing.

I'll looking at getting some stuff polished.

What all are you wanting to polish?

I'm doing the uim, throttle body, thermostate housing, alt, Pettit ast, and maybe the water pump/housing. The water pump housing seems to be very hard and I'm not sure how visible it will be. My ast is mounted to the right of the thermostate housing and in front and below the alt. It kinda blocks the view of the water pump and housing.

All my IC and pipes and Greddy elbow are already polished along with the intake pipes.

What all are you going to polish?? I'm going thru TTT

Later,
STEPHEN

These are already polished. The alternator is chromed.

I just need the UIM polished before I send it off to Pineapple Racing for port matching.

I'm going thru TTT
Have you been able to contact him?

Ed

There is a place in CT that I have used based on a recommendation by Wael El-Dasher. He claims it is the best place in the Northeast U.S. I don't know of any other places but this place certainly does excellent work.

Carbon County Chrome, LTD
282 Woodmont Road #L43
Milford, CT 06460
203 874-8833

it's not chrome, if you are referring to Vosko's parts.

There are only a few select parts people ever choose for chroming. Alternators, brackets, braces, bars, rarely pipes and manifolds, even though i can be done.
