check your heater core for leaks. It's behind the dash left side since you got rhd.

it the air-con hose in the passinger foot well were it drains out, just push it back through the chassis. Common problem

What would be the easiest way to get to these points? removing the lower part of the dash? Under the wheel well, under the hood?

Thanks guys!

You dont need to remove anything, pull the carpet back a little bit in the passinger foot well and you will see a black hose coming from dash going out through the body. i recomend you check that first before you think about taking things off. its a common problem passingers with long legs movin there feet and kicking hose out. search on forum

First you have to make shure it is antifreeze and not water. if it is antifreeze then it could be the heater core, or it could be the hoses that connect the heater core to the pipes on the firewall. Your car is a 1992 have the hoses ever been changed? Check to make shure the clamps are tight also i think the factory ones are squeeze clamps maybe they lost there tension.

example if ur heater core is cracked.
inspect a coolant smell I was experiencing after hard pulls (high rpm). The smell was inside the car and the inside windshield would steam up. Dave said my heater core was cracked and leaking slightly. Yesterday I did a hard pull and there was massive amounts of coolant steam came inside from underneath the dash on the passenger side.

from what u've discribed sounds like your a/c drain hose.

This is exactly whats going on with it. When I pull hard, it smells a lot like coolant. The windshield fogs up. I made sure to smell what was leaking and it smells exactly like coolant, even tastes like it.

Since I don't run the car in winter, I'll be removing it completely, I don't need heating.

Thanks guys! Very appreciated help in time of need!

I have the same problem, drops of coolant fluid on the passengers carpet ( JDM FD ) and also the smell of coolant inside the car. So its not hard to say that my heater core is cracked.

Since i also would not drive the car during the winter, i am going to eliminate the heater core ( for now ).
So can someone of you tell me what parts are needed to connect the water intake to the outlet from the heater core ( i guess at the firewall )? I dont have my car here so i couldnt take a look at it.

regards
Andi

If you don't need heat, just loop the heater hose in the engine bay. No need to remove the core.
