Someone requested 1/4 :
13.5-13.9 *note: 13.5 is extremely good for a stocker.

About the fan conversation.... Aren't the fans wired in parallel? Meaning that, you can't run one of them at a different speed then the other, ever, period. ?

The early '93 FDs had lousy paint - the paint has a tendency to chip off the primer easily, leaving lots of little white dots in the middle of your shiny red hood, and around all 4 wheel wells. Some touch-up paint and a lot of time make these less noticable, but still annoying as hell. : \

In an effort to save every ounce of weight humanly possible, Mazda engineers patented a new "hollow core" carpet fiber! Likewise, they also made the hood out of aluminum..

was an OPTION - many (mine included) are not equiped with the lighted Drivers door Lighted lock cylinders - The lighted cyl's have an amber plastic ring around the key slot - the unlighted ones have a black metal ring.
Or there are those of us that have had the amber ring break and had our lighted locks replaced with black metal ones so the light only comes out the keyhole.

hmmm...no puntcuation^^^That's a heck of a runon sentence.

Changing out the rear tie rods and toe links with solid metal bushings make a world of a difference in take off. No more wheel hop.

Taking out the bose wave system out of your trunk will leave you with a large gap inbetween your trunk carpet and the plastic trunk lining that can be easily covered up by buying a piece of trunk carpet from napa for less than 15 dollars.

Many FD's out there are held together in one way or another by Zip ties.

The paint on the center caps of a Fd's rims tends to come off al little more after every wash.

If you put an aftermarket intake on your FD that has hardpipes you need to wrap your A/C lines with rubber hosing to prevent leaks.

An FD comes with 2 map lights than both have their own individual buttons.

Jeremy,

I found this quote on the 3rd page of this thread. That is why I asked that question.

I was told in another thread that you need speciality (rotary) tools to do a rebuild. Is this true?

If you ever polish your aluminum side sills, clear coat or powder coat them when done, otherwise you have to polish them all the damn time...

The passenger interior door handle WILL break (hell, maybe they come that way).

It seems that all of the interior plastic connectors were meant to be temporary.

R1 models have bigger seat bolsters

R1's have twin oil coolers

Your oil pressure sender will need to be cleaned out or replaced quarterly

You can bake a ham under the hood in 100 miles!

Cops always give you the evil eye!

Your tool box has JB Weld, Zip ties and epoxy in it, just to hold your interior together.

If its not broke yet, just wait.

Frank

the weight savings on the FD was so extreme, that mazda took off the plastic handle on the dipstick and painted the wire yellow.

the third switch that goes in the center column behind the shifter is for headlight washers, which were not available in the US

FACT: The FD is better than a Wife, Girlfriend and/or Mistress because............She's always ready to be turned on,..... Only costs about $20.00 to feed her all week,.....Won't nag at you when you stare at another FD,....and, .. She doesn't mind sleeping in the garage while we"entertain" in our bedroom!!!

side note: 180 kph is actually 112.5 mph
That's odd...here in Canada the speedo is also in KPH as the main unit and our's go up to 280 km/h mmmmmmmm

This is true. Another fact, silver also came with black interiors.
