pics of my gauges setup

i have had this setup for a while, but i decided i'd post pics for you all to check out.

the gauges are prosport mechanical boost, electric fuel pressure, electric water temp. they are switchable between white and orange. i removed the domed/tinted cover on the front of the gauges and epoxied them the to back of a piece of plexiglass. i then put some cheap window tint from autozone on the front of the plexiglass and this is the result. enjoy!

I gotta admit, thats pretty sick.

I think I'd only do it for 1/2 of the whole din though.

I need my music!

Looks cool although you shouldnt have done the entire din like that.

Cause if you were gonna do that, you shoulda had a real screen that displayed everything, i think pioneer makes that but its a real screen that fits in the entire din space.

Cool setup. One thing I really like about the Prosports is they are pretty cheap compared to japanese brand gauges, so I'm not afraid to chop them up to mod them. Here's my mod to them, although i'm going a different route in the near future.

They look nice, don't get me wrong. But they are too far out of the way for my liking... I want to be able to get all of my readings at a glance, w/o taking my eyes off the road (but that's just me I suppose)

Do like the idea, i too need my AVC-R and headunit there, i might do something similar for my bottom din slot in my FC since the cubby is worthless.

thanks for the compliments, guys.

yeah, i didn't really use my CD player, and my MP3 player (pictured there) is going straight to an amp and out to the speakers. most mp3 players have an FM radio too, so it works great and looks nice and clean.

ideally, i'd like to get an LCD screen to take up that space like Red-RX7 did on here many years ago in his 20b FD, and display the haltech engine data gauges page on the screen, but that's expensive... this cost me like 11 dollars (not including the gauges that I already had)
