Yeah, nice upgrade. I especially like the nipple for the AWS welded on.

eh, looks good but why didn't you just polish the stock one instead of making the greddy one look like stock? Any flow improvements?

neit_jnf...

Not sure if the modded Greddy Elbow is any better or worse than the stock plastic elbow. One thing of interest is that the polishing shop I use said they will be able to chrome plastic in the very near future. Based on price, I may take them my stock elbow and have them chrome it just to see how it turns out. Based on their pricing for other items they've chromed for me, I'm thinking a chromed stock elbow will be somewhere in the $150 range. Not sure yet, but we'll see!

had that done for a while. . . also ground away the rib at the end of the elbow. looks WAAAAAAAY better. IMO.

i made a flange for my apexi bov and had it welded on as well. i like the way this bov looks a little better when its hidden.

Rotorbrain,

Nice job on the BOV flange. Very clean install and hides it well. What is that tank in you pic on the passenger side of car just below your coolant system fill cap?

RCCAZ 1 ,, I know I know, the tank is an oil tank for two cycle oil in front with a oil catch tank in the rear . It is all one tank . Guess how I know . Garfinkle removes the Greddy on all the elbows he has put in .

hey reg!!!! STAY OFF MY ACCOUNT!!!!! hahahahaha, i dont know HOW logging on at davids house messed with your connection at your house. . . it should be on your cookies. . . hmm. . . oh well.

rccaz, thats right. i have the rotary aviation omp adapter plate that allows you to run an OUTSIDE source of lubricant. it blocks off all the conventional oil from going in the combustion chamber and allows me to inject synthetic two stroke oil. . . as well as perform as an oil catch can for PCV purposes.

thanks for the good words on the bov deal!!! just wait till you see my LIM/UIM/TB combo. . . coming soon to a thread near you.

Paul,

Did you every get your Steve Kan tune? I recall seeing you post several times last year about possibly making road trips to get it done. Just curious...

Steve tuned my ride last November and she's still running great. Regarding the OMP and catch tank... I just run 4 oz of premix with mine, even though I'm sure my stock OMP is working properly. Never understood why Gen 3 owners need oil catch cans. Only one member in our club here in Arizona has this problem. Maybe the rest of us are just not pushing our cars hard enough.

Take care!

i did get it tuned, but i had problems. . . so now it needs to be retuned!!!! i cant afford this crapola!!!!!!!! hes coming to huntsville, al on july 11 so ill hopefully be ready to do it then.

the catchcan thing. . . nobody REALLY needs a catchcan, but EVERYBODY needs pcv. i decided to use the catchcan cause i could and figured it would help. simply venting it to the atmosphere is okay, but i dont like seeing milk in my oil!!!

so, you add 4oz. AND you have the OMP still in service? seems like an awful lot of oil in there. hahaha. i only add oil to the tank when i know im gonna drive it hard. or if im running rich. . . like i am now. haha.

i blocked off access to the conventional oil cause i like to use synthetic oil and this mod prevents people from saying anything to me. i personally, dont think synthetic oil hurts the conbustion chamber, but this is an argument stopper. . . AND i like the idea of FRESH, COOL oil being injected AT ALL TIMES.

paul
