Pics of my custom Greddy Elbow
Everyone,
Just got my custom Greddy Elbow back from the polishing shop last week and wanted to share pics. Had the elbow welded up and blended to look like a one-piece unit to go with my Peter Farrell IC.

Thanks for the complements on the final product. Lucky for me that I'm good friends with a guy who's a master welder and fabbed it up based on my description. I took the stock elbow to him along with some 2.75 inch aluminum tubing and for $30 he made a jig to simulate the stock elbow and welded her up. We even tried grinding the welds down once to truly make it look "one-piece" but the welds kept cracking, so we decided to stick with a nice flat narrow bead instead to maintain the strength and integrity of the final product.
JonesersRX7... I also thought about grinding the Greddy casting off the elbow, but changed my mind when I picked the polished piece up. Same with the PF castings on the IC. I just feel it's subtle enough that I left them alone.
rynberg... I'm lucky to have a GREAT polishing shop local who does incredible work and is VERY inexpensive. The only problem is that he's always backed up and promises two week delivery, but delivers in 3 to 4 weeks. I've just come to expect it and be patient.

Oops.... Skunks...
I held off on the extra injector holders because I'm currently only running between 12 and 13 psi of boost. In the future if I go with larger injectors I'll probably just get another elbow and larger IC (M2 Large) at the same time. For now, I think it looks cleaner this way!

you are right about the talent of your welder.
Here is what I did. Mine used to have 2 injector bungs and the aws hose but I don't need either. I did add a nub on the back for my air intake sensor. I added just enough metal so on the inside just the sensor part is protruding. You cant just drill it stock because it may not be strong enough plus the threads will be on the inside ruining air flow. I also added some metal for my water/alcohol injection but I may move it further down to an intercooler pipe. we'll see... I'm tapping it for the air intake sensor right now

Awesome job Surgemonster! I like what you've done to your elbow and I do like the removal of the Greddy casting. Might have to consider that in the future!
Yes, my welder is a master craftsman. He's built his last 3 street rods from the ground up, and they're all beautiful rides. He's got the touch when it comes to intricate welding.
Post some additional pics when you get your elbow installed.

Tried to upload the pics when I started the thread but it was taking forever and I was getting timed out, hence the link instead. Thanks for your assistance.
