pics inside. new greddy fimc....
here is my newly installed greddy 2 row fmic. i really like the look, but the install was quite the bother. the instructions from greddy were poorly layed out at best. i would like to give a shout-out to nocab72 for his step by step install, as it helped me to sort through the **** and finish the install.
i will not have a/c for some time now, because, if you guys did not know, i am HE-MAN, and managed to snap off the main a/c line that is welded onto the main condenser. the "manual bending of teh lines and the relocation of the radiator and the a/c condenser was definately the hardest.
also, still a little worried about running a little warm with this new IC, i fabricated a "custom" radiator cooler. i used some very rigid 4" flexi-duct and a gutter drain adaptor. i attached the gutter drain piece to the duct and originated it in the passesger side opening on the front end. it takes roughly a 90 degree turn and runs the length of the radiator. i cut a slot in it and tapered the end shut. the pics follow, and should clear this up. it took 15 minutes for the duct, and i have a 4" fan that i am going to add tomorrow.....
btw, please excuse my "crusty" knightsports-PFS front end, it has seen better days....
all comments are welcome.....

...you can not notice the duct that i added to the front end from a few extra feet away. it might be ghetto, but takes the worry of overheating from my mind....

Looks excellent! I commend you on your original thinking for the radiator duct, however I am not convinced that it will work. I honestly think you will be better off just sealing off the edges of the radiator at the sides, and make sure the underbelly pan fits snugly on the underside of the radiator so that no air escapes under it. The cooling problem encountered with a lot of fmic installs is that the air wants to escape around the edges instead of going through the radiator, I think that hose will block more cool air than it will add. Feel free to prove me wrong.

i am not convinced either, but i do not feel tha tit will hurt. i do plan on adding a fan tomorrow night. the air flow was already tested with a hairdryer. it flows very well....

That's gonna overheat like a **** if you really drive it hard... that radiator needs sealed off and you need the undertray. The stock setup is far better and even it is often inadequate.

Louis, I like your inventive thinking, but I think that the added air from the duct will be negated by the fact that the air coming from the front will have to go around the hose. I would also highly recommend putting on an undertray and sealing off the radiator. BTW seet ride.

thanks guys. i think that i will re-install the belly pan for now. i really did not think that it was *that* important. i always thought that the more open the area, the better the cooling, and seeing that i have never had an over heating issue, i simply assumed that it was ok.....i hope that i still have that belly pan....

Nice Job with the intercooler but why did you waste your money on another front bumper that utilizes the old turn lamps? I think it's dumb to upgrade front bumpers to a still old looking front bumper.
Sorry to give you ****. I just hardly ever see rx7s and I never see one with the new style front bumpers. Your car especially would look awesome with that and the new turnlamps and intercooler.
dont be offended just repalce it when you get some money
