I penciled the 4.xx in there figuring that's when transition usually happens. I have other dyno sheets that were run at 10,12, and 13 psi where transition happened at 78 mph and there was a larger dip - with tuning and datalogit, he lowered the transition to 65 mph - I haven't looked at where my rpm is at what speed but I'll make sure to do this to clear this strange dyno up - it was a 4th gear run by the way - 3rd gear only goes to 100 mph at 8K.

Here is what I'm thinking.....
I looked at my dyno in that formation and noticed that it moves about 10mph for 500rpms. With this in mind if that 4.7 is actually 4.2 with the bottom cut off, it would scale out perfect to be 8K @ 140 which is what it should be with stock gears and tire size. Also, its been a long time since I ran seq but I think the PFC has seq set at 4200rpms. So with that info, the question is why did he let off at 115??? I dont even shift into 4th untill 100. I'm guessing he only went up to about 6750rpms.
Seems like thats normal for Dave though, I think I've seen a lot of his graphs end around 7K. Dont know why though.

This is a very odd dyno...
65 mph where your switchover occurs would be about 3600 rpm in 4th.
So what is that note on the graph saying?
Do you run a stock 4.1:1 rear end and stock-sized rear tires?

kwikrx7 we'll find out if dave's right on thur. i was there yesterday and he told me the exact same thing you mentioned in your first post. my cars there now and waiting for the new program wed. last dyno was 314rwhp and he said this one should be alot more. we'll see thurs i trust everything dave says he's pretty straight forward
I have 18 inch rims with 235/40-18 and 245/40/18s on them - the rear-end is stock 4.11s (I think) - I did get a stock differential off someone to swap out for my trashed one..again I penciled in that 4.2 thinking that was where transition usually was. My other dyno runs that were run at 10-13 psi shown that after 112 mph my power dropped off - he ran it up to 130 mph one time but power was way down - comparing 2 different with a midpipe and HF cat - the midpipe keeps making power up to 8K rpms but the HF cat usually drops power after 6.7K rpms or so. Maybe I should just put a midpipe on there and dyno again
- believe it or not it still is as loud with seq as it was non-seq..my car is almost as loud as it was with a midpipe...

Your final drive ratio is now higher than stock because you are running 245/40 18 tires. To maintain a stock wheel+tire diameter, you would need 245/35, 255/35 18s. Your current tires = 3.5% difference in diameter = your really going 100 mph when your speedo indicates 96-97 mph. That's not enough to explain the dyno results, I think we'll just have to wait until KDR's dyno is fully functional again...
Well this dyno just doesn't seem to "add up" to me.
You said that on one pull he took it to 130 mph which by my calculations would be around 7000 rpm in 4th with your tires and a stock diff. The "7000" figure matches up with Dave's usual habit of pulling only up to around 7000-7200.
But that doesn't really fit your switchover.. which would be around 3500 rpm with that gear/tire setup. If we pretend you might have gotten an upgraded diff and you have a 4.3:1 or a 4.77:1 the number still don't really comfortably fit.
So, we could say the graph posted was a 3rd gear pull where he did not go to 130 mph, but rather to around 112 as shown on the graph. That would put your switchover at around 4800 and your top speed at 8000 rpm would be about 107 mph. That sort of fits, but the graph goes to almost 115 mph which is around 8500 rpm. I don't think it would be pulling that hard up at 8500 with a high flow cat
What's up with the numbers? I'm sure we're just missing something here.

matty those runs were at 1.05 on the power fc my mods are intake,dp,catback,y-pipe,fmic,fuel pump,1300cc inj., kazz rear, 4.33 gears probably forgeting some stuff. dave said i'll see around 30-40 more rwhp with the new program he's getting tommorow and a little less conservative tuning

Congrats on getting your car back and on the hp numbers. With the weight difference I think we may be a very close run.
Didn't you say you dynoed at around high 420s with your Supra? I need to get a little more tuning since I not getting a full 15 psi - only about 13 psi. Still pulls hard - I think if I ran 16-17 psi I'd pull away from ya

I was out doing some pulls today in this cold weather and I'm amazed how this car pulls even at 13 psi - from any rpm. I'm going up to KDR on Friday for some last minute fine tuning and will be running 15.5 psi for good. That Pettit ecu is pretty good for the money and a midpiep, although somewhat loud really adds some power. All you need is a streetport, fmic and 15-16 psi and you'll be giving your Supra a nasty scare
Maybe one of these days soon I'll head up there to Lancaster and look for you at Ollies...
