I just aquired a little over $5000

I'm trying to decide what mods to perform...

I'm still on stock AST, Radiator, intercooler, and airbox (k&n filter though)

My mods are: vaccum job, downpipe, PFC, high flow cat, greddy powerextreme catback, k&n drop in filter, powerFC-

gauges: oil presure, water temp, air fuel, boost

I'm thinking about getting rid of my steering wheel column mount gauge pod and going with the single 60mm and triple 52mm flyrx7 makes

Question is: what mods should I do? Here was my ideas:

buy a greddy intake used, koyo radiator new, and greddy FMIC new

but then i'd have to sell my foglights? I'm just needing some direction

and btw, the goal is not to spend all of the money...

replace exactly what u said was stock - intake, ast, radiator, I/C... that should set u back about $1500, maybe more maybe less.... then injectors and fuel pump, and a good dyno tune

I had 18,000 miles on my stock AST and it was bust, replace it with aluminum... If you're gonna get a radiator get a fluidyne or pwr I've heard the Koyo has fitment probs. Upgrade the IC thats restricting a lot, and get a good intake, and if you're talking turbo upgrades why don't you get a bnr upgrade...

AST 150
PWR 400
FMIC 1100 or SMIC 8-900
Intake 300
Turbo Upgrade Stage 2 1600

so you're looking at like 3500 max

Good, just guestimating. If so add a wideband + sensor, datalogit, and fluidyne rad.

Hahahaha, that is so true...

An LS1 and the whole conversion would run about $7000-9000 or so. Sell your working drivetrain and you might get that a little under $5,000.00. You will have more power, more room for more power, and a MUCH less expensive faster car in the long run.

Do you know what 2k in mods can do to an LS1?

As for the weight...do some research and you will find surprisingly that its not going to effect handling much at all. (Well, save for the gobs of power oversteer) And still be 50/50 as well........

Go single. Get rid of the rats nest.

If You are not in a big rush just keep looking through the for sale section and pick up a slightly used single kit and any other parts You listed. The 5K is more then enough if You shop around. It starts to get expensive once You have to start to replace driveline parts though.

You can get rid of the rats nest with the BNR's also. I'm in the process of taking out the solenoid rack right now .

what was mazda thinking when they put a unique rotary motor into this car. GO V8. honestly i am so sick of hearing this. flame me if you like, but why waste the money buying an rx7 if you could have just bought a camaro or something. i do respect what jimlab is doing, but that is jimlab. its not my cup of tea.
