pettit racing intake recomendations ?

Hi all,

i know this kind of thread has been up before....i tried to find a thread for this matter, but nothing.....

i have stock air box now and i'm thinking about buying a pettit intake for my FD.
any recomendations???

The Pettit intake was good when it was developed many many years ago. However, there are better alternatives on the market today. Here is one suggestion:

The fighter's intake looks nicer, but the only advantage that I can see over the Pettit are the hard intake pipes. Both the Pettit and Fighters have the heat shield, but I can't really figure out how that is going to help a lot since the shield doesn't shield the intakes from the hot turbos. Seems that is where most of the hot air would be coming from?

The main difference is the price. Pettit's kit is about $400, Fighter's is $200.

Get ebay pipes and K&n filters and save yourself some money.. Thats what I have and it works great. Unless you want a bling intake like the hks rs intake, which I also have
