Pettit Cool Charge III IC Question

Is anyone running the Pettit Cool Charge III IC? It looks very similar to Kevin's (ASP) SMIC and I was wondering how they compare. The price is about the same for both so that really isn't an issue. If anyone is using the Pettit IC, are you able to keep your airpump and stock battery or did you have to do any modifications to make it fit? Thanks for any info or insight you can give.

the cool charge III is the large one. Have to relocate or minimize the battery and bye bye air pump unless you get your own piping. The piping that they sell gets rid of the airpump and crossover pipe.

Great that's good to know. I assume it cools (and heat soaks) about the same as the ASP IC then?

Don't quote me on this, but I thought I saw Kevin post that the Pettit IC was an "un-authorized copy" of the ASP. If that's true, the performance should be pretty much the same.

it also comes with the greddy elbow so it works out better price wise compared to ASP...I'm thinking about upgrading from coolcharge II but I dont want to relocate my battery

I remember reading this same exact post a while back from Kevin Wyum. If my design was copied like that I'd probably be more vocal letting the RX7 community know about it.

they are all the same cores just depends where you put the pipes and bends and how good the welding is on the endcaps
