Pettit or ASI?

I will be working on my car this coming week and if I cannot fix my problem I will be forced to take it to either Pettit or ASI. I have been troubleshooting the car since July and I cant take it anymore. I have done everything possible that I can do with my own hands and with the resources in this shitty town. So, if anyone has any recommendations between Pettit or ASI please let me know. I have spoken with both on the phone and they were all helpful and corteous. Just want to know if anyone has some good information on these shops....

Chad at ASI is the coolest mechanic I know. Hes pretty obsessed with perfection, ASI is the only shop I would take my car to if I wanted anything to get done. Lately, Ive been hearing of bad experiences with Pettit. Pettit is usually for a rich person, who likes to spend money. ASI is for the smart enthusiast, who wants quality parts and work done on their car. Chad used to build ALL the 20b's for Pettit, when he worked there. ASI is a great shop, tell him ALI sent you.

Have you ever had your car at ASI? Just wondering what kind of storage they have. I do not want my car stored outside. I have way too much money invested in my car for there to be a possibility of someone tampering with my car.

They just moved into a bigger shop, so if you request to keep the car inside, I think Chad will provide somewhere inside for the car stay. I had my car in the shop when they still had the smaller location. They kept my car outside, but noone tampered with it at all. This was while the motor was being built.

I'm lucky because i have friends who go to UCF and i have a place to stay 2 hours away from Pettit. I think of it like a vacation; partying and flirting with chicks is a good way to take away the fact my car is getting worked on

Yeah, that is alot better than having to spend money on sorting the car out and paying for a place to stay... But thats how it is I guess.

I say ASI. I got my car built there and although it took a while, it was worth it. chad is awesome at what he does. I did not know they moved to a bigger shop though.

Yes they are in the same block where the old shop was, but moved into a bigger building.

Pettit

Cameron builds incredible motors that LAST LONG. key word last. I have heard good things from ASI, but from my own expirience, recommend Pettit.
