Performance or Exterior? Which one first?

Well I am stuck between doing the Performance Mods first or doing the Exterior. Which would would you rather do first? Take some things into mind, the car I own already has a downpipe and high flo cat, HKS SSQV BOV, Boost Gauge, Enfi Y-Pipe and Turbo Timer. The car right now is very fast to me at least but I know my potential is being held back without a ECU Upgrade. But at the same time I can go ahead and grab myself my entire Bodykit I want, grab some Volk TE37's Rims and maybe squeeze in a paint job.

So which one would everyone do? Exterior or Performance? Thanks.

Performance. The stock body looks better than 90% of the kits out there.

IMO,

Get a used ECU and some lowering springs for the price of the bodykit and then pick up some Volks.

- Replace the AST with an aluminum one or remove it
- Replace any worn/broken suspension bushings
- Replace any worn/broken drivetrain mounts
- Upgrade the shocks and springs with either performance units or a set of coilovers

After you do all that then I would get a set of rims and tires. If you're on a budget then I would suggest rims other than Volks. There are plenty of wheels out there that are light weight and high quality that cost less than Volks, and if the rest of the car is neglected just so you can get some cool wheels that's not so great.

my order of mods:
relialibility (must always be 1st w/ our cars)
motor
suspension
exteror
interor
also in between all of these, you have to replace the stuff that breaks

I like this idea. I would do a full maintenance check (60k service) and then spend money on repairing everything that is broken, and after that, save up for the next engine it will need eventually.

You have not mentioned the condition of the body or paint. If the body and paint look like crap, get that done first. No one likes to see a beat up FD.

I am with everyone else here. Reliability mods, then performance mods, then exterior mods, then some more performance mods

i have seen his car and he doesnt need a paint job. the paint looked very good!! it was new. i think you should get a PFC first and then an exh with a boost controler!! you want to have a fast car than no car!! then, slowly get some more mods in. when you are fully satisfied with the performance, then go with body modifications! BTW, the feed bumper that you wanted to get looks great!!

Everyone's talking about getting an ECU or an exhaust or whatever, and this is an older car that is most likely going to need some maintenance and replacement of parts. Before you do any sort of upgrading of any aspect of the car, fix anything that's broken and replace anything that's worn out.

From there, the stock motor is plenty quick for the time being. Better to upgrade the stuff that keeps you stuck to the ground and stopping quickly and then worry about how to go forward more rapidly.
