Ive owned 2 fd's now to my dismay, (accident with the first, but things happen for a reason) and just recently my black one started stinking. I think it may be the catalytic converter. The red one i owned did the same and it never crossed my mind-"hey, im still running the stock cat!" could this be?, it smells like a burning sulfer kinda smell and it usually occurs when the engine is at running temperature and at very slow traffic speeds. Just my thought> lemme know if you have others.

 

does it have the stock precat too. maybe they are both clogged up and leaking also and it is seeping into your car.

 

Yeah, mine is starting to smell too it almost smells like rotten egg sort off. I guess it's time to get a dp.

 

yep, mine stinks too. . . but i have nothing there. hehe
