Well its tuned for 94 octane I'm sure, thats available in Japan.. other than that I imagine it would work well, PanSpeed has a huge reputation in the FD community in Japan. I'd be loathe to use it not knowing the timing/fuel/boost settings that were programmed in

Besides not knowing if the computer actually works, aren't JDM ECU's 24 bit and USA ECU's 16 bit? There is a Knightsports cable to convert them , but that's assuming that it will work for your year FD.

Nice thinking GoRacer, that is something that most people wouldn't have thought about. But I believe that the cable will work for all years of the FD. Laterz.

Could that be why the Jspec FDs have more power????

And cant that ECU be tuned so it shouldnt matter whats its set at?

The 92-96 here in Japan are 8bit, newer are 16bit computers. As long as it is for the right yr it should work.

Toddp31--- your right, but 99spec and up they used a 24bit.

Goracer--- I know R-magic has those to covert.

Its best IMHO not to buy a used COMP, you never know what your getting. Im sure its not broken, but you dont know the settings, and ALSO since its Panspeed without seeing the pic, im pretty sure its a STOCK ECU, just tunned.

Just have your comp done, and tunned in Japan from Panspeed..
