To panic or not to panic
ok guys, here it is right to the point.Ive been reading the big fat cooling thread and a few others after I have been having to add coolant because it keeps on dumping it from the reservoir and decided to flush the radiator, and change the t-stat.Well,I took the stat out(I havent changed it since I bought the car 2 years ago)and here is what was stuck on the spring of the t-stat....
looks like water seals?a bit strange because the car doesnt smoke, doesnt heat up,and run rather well.Any thoughts??(also,it seems that the stat for my 93 is actually a 95 thermostat so someone mustve changed a few things)

its been doing it for about 2 weeks now.The only thing I have done prior to that was installing a front mount intercooler, and relocating the radiator. The radiator DID seem to be clogged, because only one half was getting hot while the other wasnt. After a flush,it started working again(OEM rad). The car in reality doesnt get beat nor ran hard, and the reason why I decided to take the stat out was to inspect/replace only because of the rad flush.
Sorry about the pics, theyre from my iPhone but ill take better ones when I get home. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
