Whats the difference between aluminum, carbon fiber or a fiberglass hood if prep'd and painted correctly?
Search for after market hood pics and you'll find what you want, because you probably wouldn't know the difference in a pic anyway.

i had painted carbon fiber fenders & a painted carbon fiber front bumper on my last FD. even after it was painted you could still see the carbon fiber weave texture from the right angle. most people probably would never know, but if you look close enough - very cool effect

i have the same hood like ur. and i talked to this local shop, they said that, it will be different between the original color ( the color on Fd ) and the hood. they said, if paint the hood, i need to paint the fender also.
