P/N for lower intake gasket?

I'm look it my parts fische, and I see two part numbers for the lower intake gasket.

N3A1-13-111 and N3A1-13-111A

Does anyone know what the difference is, and which ones I will need? I'm told that they switched from paper to metal gaskets at some point... do they have different P/Ns?

BTW: Removing the turbos isn't nearly as hard as everyone makes it out to be. I took me about 3 to 4 hours to get them out, and its my first time. I could probably do it in 2.5 hours if I had to again.

Thanks

Paul

lower intake gasket, N3A1-13-111A/B/C

This is what's in my parts lits. Maybe the suffix is by manufactorer or slight modification over the years.

N3A1-13-111C is the newest number. The part number just superseded.
The only issues there were both applied to the FC 13b, where the gasket material went from asbestos to non-asbestos and the grain pattern went from vertical to horizontal. There were some sealing concerns because of this.

The metal vs. fiber gasket controversy arose when Mazda Comp parts offered a metal gasket directly from japan for their FC 13b racing membership, yet retail customers were stuck with the fiber-type.

So I should get N3A1-13-111C? And this will be a fiber gasket? Does Mazda offer a metal gasket?

The 111C is fine and is fiber. Just handle with care and don't bend it.
