overheating prioblems
A week ago my car just started getting hotter and hotter over the days, I though it was just because the weather because it started getting really hot out, but one of the days my radiator(stock) just started leaking very bad, so I figure Why not upgrade it...So I got a pwr one from rx7store, they got it too me fast too , installed fine, but for some reason, the car still gets very very hot, I can put around in first and it'll get up to 125°c and I have no clue whats up with it...there is plenty of water/coolant, any ideas at all?
thanks

eep,
i bet its your thermostat. i have one for sale if interested let me know. its also the the 175 degree variety so it opens up a little sooner than the oem. lots of people drill small holes on either side to allow for constant/faster flow especially in hotter climates or if racing etc...with temps that high i would wait until you fix the problem before continuing to drive around.
again good luck and if you want a deal on a thermostat let me know

motors typically fail at about 115+ celcius.
side seals and o rings...bye bye.
DO NOT drive it or heat it up...you will be replacing the engine if you do...rebuilding it at least.
one time is all it takes....and you are actually damaging the seals each time you heat it up like that. IMHO.
dont drive it...dont drive it...dont drive it.
I freak out if mine hits 100....but then again Ive lost two motors in three years due to heat.
