Opinions on PFS Computer

What do you guys think of the PFS drivetrain managment system? I can pick one up used for around 500 for the new 7 im getting or I can go with a pettit unlimited. What do you guys recommend? I kinda like the idea of the 3step thing on the PFS.. but I hav never really read up on them. The mods on the new car will be.. intake, front mount ic, pulleys to eliminate the airpump, dp,mp, catback.. Will i have to reprogram the PFS computer if I got it for my mods or would it work?

Matt

Its a PFC (Programable Fuel Computer or PMS Programable Management System, can't remember?) it is made by EFI Systems. Peter Farrell just happened to sell it.
Anyhow, much better than a non adjustable chip. Just my .02.

Unless you're putting this ECU in a automatic FD, I would take the Pettit ECU hands down...

Do a search, the Pettit or M2 is generally considered superior to the PFS Purple.

Im not saying that the PFS is junk, there have been people that have had success with it, but I've read a lot of horror stories too.

Unless you can get the PFS for under ~$350 I'd pass.
