Dont buy a RX-7 to make it look tacky.. buy it to work, learn, and enjoy it!! Thats what mine is for! I love my hopless endless addicion! I cant help it!!!

HAHAHAHA ... I wasn't insulting him personally because I don't know him personally. My response was, I suppose, a thick sarcastic reply to Ted, who said that he doesn't understand the car, the price is right (what price? how would he know it's right?), and he wants to put some bodykit on it priority #1. My rhetorical question is: How could someone advise him to buy it when he didn't tell what was on it or the "right price"? Or how could he even know what was on it when he says he doesn't understand it? That's an ugly situation ... and another car biting the dust. Lots of you people rejoice that these cars are dying left and right at the hands of people who can afford the sticker price but don't have the ability to handle the car. You say, "That just makes mine rarer and more valuable ... or yay more parts for my car." That's pretty selfish and I get disgusted ... I don't want to see any car die.

Ted, while my statement was a response to your post, it was not a personal insult towards you.

And for everyone's edification since I seemed to be the primary offender and therefore a Quake playing nerd, I actually don't play any computer games. I haven't in nearly a decade. I play sports ... in the 3D world. To say I don't fit the mold of the average FD owner or the average forum poster is an understatement. I actually don't want my car -- the purchased attention, the "scene", no room, and just getting excited about cars is not me. I'd rather a Nissan Pathfinder or Infiniti QX4 -- they're so me -- but I won't sell my car because like I said, I don't want to see any car die. I love it and take care of it because it's mine, not because of what it is or what other people think of a piece of metal.

 

Your response didn't bother me at all DK, in fact it made me laugh out loud. Just trying to be diplomatic after I got flamed for ripping on some newbie asking a similar type of question in another post.
