Question 2nd Turbo Kicking Question! :)

i feel the 2nd turbo in
1st gear all the time.
(AUTOMATIC)

but in 2nd gear i never feel it kick in at WOT-
it's just smooth pulling the entire way to redline.

is this normal?
i dont have a boost gauge yet,

but i was wondering if i should be able to feel the
2nd turbo kick in 2nd gear and 3rd gear.

thanks!

You should be able to feel the switchover from the first to the second turbo. So...I guess the answer is yes. You should feel a little something because the power dies off for a split secong while they switch.

in first gear, its obvious when it comes on...

but in second gear, its
smooth the entire RPM range...

i need a boost gauge to see whats up eh?

Bro, you will need a boost guage for your FD no matter what. It sure gives me peace of advice that im not having any boost spikes and setting up a time bomb for my engine.

Yes....boost should kick in in 2nd gear....and througout the rest of the gears....not to be a smart ***...but that's the whole point of Sequential-Turbos...get a boost gauge...primary boost should shoot 10psi and then changing gears it should drop to 8 psi....then climb back up to 10psi...

Once you get you boost gauge...if the boost pattern isn't 10-8-10...then you may have boost problems.

I hope that helps bud.
