opinion needed about an exhaust system

i just bought an exhaust system for my fd from ssautochrome on ebay, 3" stainless steel catback with downpipe.
What do you think about it?? The thing is... what to do with the original midpipe...should i keep it? fabricate one resonated? install a 3" hight performance cat? I know i can gain 60hp with a full 3" exhaust and good intake system but i prefer to cut on power a little to lower the sound.... so tell me what would you do!

Its a 93 fd fully original...

This belongs in the 3rd gen section. If you don't want it loud, keep the stock cat. If you want thoughts about your exhaust, provide a link to information.

If you do a search, you may find the info more quickly.

well for starters if you have an otherwise stock setup ie computer, intercooler ect. Adding the 3" midpipe isn't what you want to do, regardless of how it sounds or doesn't, you'll be playing on a fine line to blowing your motor.

a 3inch catback is gonna be loud as hell under load. and wether you remove or keep the cat isnt going to make much of a sound difference. with the 3 inch and im guessing its a striaght through muffler the only thing you can do to quiet it down is to install a resonator. or 2 depending on how quiet you want it.
