ive got a 93 touring with 100k just bought it in march . i havent driven it much [less than 50 miles] I put the boost guage in and a blitz intake . my boost is 5lbs all the way across and its breaking up from 4k to 4.5k up basically its running like **** .i also have a dp but its not on. im thinking 02 sensor ,clogged precat, vacuum hoses, hell i dont know also when your up on the rpms while it is running like **** , when you let off the gas ,you hear like a vacuum suction letting go basically theres no second turbo and only 5lbs on the primary also on the 2nd turbo when it breaks up the boost falls off PLEASE SOMEONE POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION

Can you hear air pushing really loud when you try to boost? Check your couplers. I just had this problem.

If your primary isn't pushing 8 psi, your secondary will not come on at all. I'd be looking for leaks into and from the primary turbo and see if some pressure is escaping somewhere.

It could be a clogged precat, you really should get a downpipe anyway even if that's not the problem.

Go here http://home.istar.ca/~dvandit/rx7stuff.shtml Tons of good troubleshooting info. I doubt your problems are from a clogged cat or precat though. Check for boost leaks.

Not always true, I too am only boosting 5psi and I get a transition and the secondary is in fact coming online because I can feel a difference and definitely tell its kicking on, although the boost gauge doesnt go beyond 5 even after the secondary does come on line. Maybe we are having the same problems autospot. Although my car doesnt run like **** its just not as strong obviously since I am missing 8 pounds of boost somewhere. I was suspecting my double throttle actuator might be to blame(I tried about everything else that I can think of) and its keeping my secondary butterflies shut which is a good possibity. I am going to take apart some things and find out, if that turns out to be my problem I will let you know so you can try the same thing, later,

Sounds lke you got a boost leak somewhere. So do you hear the loud swoooshing sound when boosting? That is a dead give away to a large boost leak like a coupler or a hose from the charge relief valve or the blowoff. I would check the hose from the Charge relief valve to the "y" pipe. This line has secondary boost air in it. If there is a crack or break it will only get about 5lpds. Sound about right? Also It is hard to see unless you are specifically tring to look at it so it is easy to overlook as your searching for leaks. This is the large black hose incase you didnt know ...Lets us know what you find.

Here's the deal with that. If your secondary is coming online then it's seeing more than 7 lbs of boost. You aren't seeing it in the manifold, but the turbo is. Hook your boost gauge up to one of the nipples coming directly off of the turbos, at the Y-pipe. If it has more boost(by a few pounds) than your normal manifold nipple, then you have a boost leak. Do a search on my posts for turbo problems and you will find a detailed how to for boost leak testing. BTW. autospot, I see you're in Panama City. If you want to call me I'm in Pensacola. (850)473-0732. I can try to help you out if you need anymore.
