Which one of these exhausts is.....

The quieter but deep sounding? And which one gains the the most power?

Apex'i N1

Blitz NUR Spec

HKS Hiper

Any other exhausts in mind?

Thanks.

Heard great things about the sound of the Racing Beat catbacks, but I don't know about power on any of them really.

JIC Bullet Type 1. I just had the Borla XR-1 put in the midpipe...

...Now it's "quiet" at idle, yet Throathy and Intimidating going WOT...

Yeah I'm looking for something like that, quiet at idle and low rpms but throaty at WOT..... What's the price on one of those bad boys? And how's the power gain?

Thanks.

Dan.

All 3 of those exhausts are loud and will give you very comparable power gains. I have a Nur-spec and I can tell you it is not quiet, it is deeper at idle and part throttle, gets real raspy sounding when you open it up.

Best Exhaust

I would honestly say the best sounding, looking, and overall exhaust is the PFS cat back.

powertone custom catback 3" SS piping off the cat, Y into two 2.25" pipes and use two universal tips for the dual look. sounds better than any exaust I've heard on an FD. Oh yeah..and it's on my car.

I'm running 3" down-pipe, mid-pipe and Apexi GT-spec. Without the silencer it sounds nice. DEEP DEEP throaty sound. In my garage with my car running if I stand outside the car my pants vibrate (oooh! JK). I have a buddy with the same exhaust and a cat (he has to worry about emissions) and it is much quieter. The only time it roars is at 5K and up. My opinion is now my car sounds the way a $40K sports car should sound. (Don't do a mid-pipe if you don't want to port your waistgate)

I would suggest the JIC Majic 505tt or 505st.. if you looking for something cheaper the Apex GT Spec is also a great exhaust ..with 95mm pipings.. its NICE.. both exhaust sounds deep but not quiet.. the Blitz Nur Spec its good for the price and sounds like a motorcycle.....

My opinion is the Blitz is the worst sounding exhaust on the market and i have heard all of them. If you have heard a weedwhacker then you know what the Blitz sounds like.

Why not do the MP if I don't want to port my wastegate??

bc i think with a mp you'll have a hard time controlling boost unless you port the wastegate

if you don't port the wastegate, you get boost creep

but to answer the question, the tanabe g-power medallion is hands down the deepest, best sounding, you don't want none of this, cb system.....well, it was when my car was running. when back on the road, i'll be running a dp, and resonated mp due to limited obnoxiousness tolerability. lernedd dat werd in skoull scikologee klass.

I'm running a 3" DP and the Racing Beat 3" dual tip and I think it sounds perfect! Nice and quiet at idle and really comes into it's own at WOT. Works great for scaring the ricers around town in their Honda's with coffee cans welded to the exhaust piping. That's my .02

I just got my HKS Hiper Cat-back from Jason this week. I'm bolting it up on Saturday, so I'll take some pictures and let you know what it sounds like. My car is stock though, so it'll be with both cats on the car. Die for MX has some crazy N1 style exhaust coming out of a dp/mp combo and with a 9.5# flywheel, that thing sounds like a big bore sport bike on atomic steroids. The lightened flywheel effects are crazy. Its loud as hell, but once he lets off the throttle, the tone just dies out instantly. Doesn't take time for the revs to come back down. They're there right after your foot comes up.

The Apexi N1 sounds like crap.
The Blitz sounds like crap
The HKS Hiper sounds like crap.
The Greddy sounds like crap.
