Didn't read the whole thread, but I have the Greddy PE and I love it. It's mated to a Bonez downpipe and high flow cat, so the tone is exactly what I was looking for. No silencer necessary.

ok, has anybody heard the Border full exhaust? if you have, how do you think it fairs against the JIC? I've been leaning towards the JIC only for the reason that its been heard and run before and i've seen nothing but positive feedback on it.

I just installed the Racing Beat about 3 hours ago and have to say that I am very pleased with it cuz I didn't want loud and annoying but still wanted some sound...at idle it's slightly louder but at WOT it really has a nice deep note...Haven't listened to the stereo since I installed it

PLZ have someone record your cars when they start up, idle, and rev. I missed that huge car meet near Ardenwood (Bay Area) and that was where i was gonna hear how some other 7's sounded. I keep hearing how good apex i, greddy, hks being good then a second later someone flames them. So plz post sound clips with what kind of exhaust and whether they have dp and mp. K thnx

I've posted for it and asked about it in the Japan section. It seems that no one there buys the good stuff either.

The look of the Borders is awsome but (although welded hangers)no one has heard of it (unless Inukai replies). The price is the same as the JIC titanium with SS piping (looks tight also). I've heard the JIC on a 2nd gen MR2 (& liked) but not an FD.

So is JIC better since the price is the same? Well the JIC pipe diameter is 80mm but uses clamp type hanger, the Border is larger(90mm)but all stainless steel. Both are two peice bolt on cat back. There is no direct importer for Border, hence higher prices.

The JIC is awesome. Evil. You should stop by the shop. We have all the models on display including the JIC titanium. Jason carries these exhausts as well. You are however extremely close to the shop and if you want to look at them you are welcome too. The JIC is in general one of the best sounding exhausts I've heard in all the applications we've done. Plus they come with silencers that sit deep into the tip, not at the surface. Plus I think the JIC is beautiful. Fully polished welds.

Laters,

Rishie

Hi GoRacer

Sorry, I didn't find your post.

There are tooooooooons of exhausts.
Most people want power, I know.
But most of the exhausts that are said to have big power are loud.
As far as I know, silent and big power exhaust are just
RE-A and Fujitsubo.
I think Fujitsubo isn't so popular in the states.
But it is a traditional and reliable company in Japan.
If you don't mind big noise, you have stars of choices.
What materials?
Titanium, stainless or aluster steel.
Where do you run mainly?
Some aim at street uses.
It means they aim around 3000-4000 rpm power.
Some aim at track uses.
They aim around 4000-6000rpm.
Real drag exhausts aim at over 6000 rpm uses.

Quality is different.
one-third of them are made outside of Japan.
Taiwan or China.
They are bad in quality.

And the biggest issue is price.
I'm happy to advise you.
PM me.

Thanks

Thumbs up Thanks Inukai

My choices from quality and fitment are:

Buddy Club Spec 3
Border Racing Burnout Type 2
JIC Magic Titanium

Unfortunately I don't know what they sound like but in my opinion these are the cleanest, tightest looking ones.

It's the same. I haven't had it dyno'd to tell you if it's worth the $795.00, but I'd definitly recommend using it over a regular cat. My cat was gone, so I had to replace it anyway. Unfortunately I can't run a mid pipe because of emissions, and the standard cats burn out in about a year because of so little core material. If you can find a good hi flow cat for cheaper, I'd go for it, but I haven't found it. I am very happy with my exhaust set-up. Turbos spool quicker, nice exhaust sound, and I can hear the tubos better, which I like.

What is KSP? How is the quality? Does it have clamp on hangers like Buddy Club and JIC? What does it sound like?

Hi GoRacer

KSP is No1 tuner for Drag Race in Japan.

As for Rotory Engine

Circle Track Race

No1 is RE-A. No one can deny. They always get No1.
No2 is AutoSelect.
No3 is PanSpeed.

Drag Race

No1 is KSP. They have been No1 for years.
No2 is Stillway Fujiwara or Topfuel Kumaki.

Quality of these 6 manufacturers' products are well demonstrated in races.

I recommend RE-A products because I'm a race car driver for them.
They are the best quality but pretty pricy.

To those who want to get world No1 quality products,
I recommend RE-A.

To those who want to get pertty good quality but reasonable,
I recommend KSP, Topfuel or Okada Eng.

I hope I can help you.

Thanks

Man I just heard my friend's Blitz NUR Spec over the weekend and to me it's damn loud. But then again he's got intake, md and dp to go along with that.

I thought I wanted to go with that exhaust but it's just way too loud for me.

The JIC Bullet isn't like that is it?
