omp wiring repairs?

anyone ever find them selves needing to splice together the omp wiring that runs by the main pulley?? Mine aparently got to close today and cut in half almost completely. How would you all go about this?

The only thing you can do is pull the ends out where you can access them and reconnect one at a time. They should be color coded. You might have to pull off the belts, IC pipes and whatever else is in the way. Personally I'd recommend soldering the ends together rather than butt-crimping the connections. Follow-up with shrink wrap or silicone fusion tape to cover the individual solder joints.
There is also option #2...replace the OMP. But that would be my last resort:

Just replace it, if your car is Nonseq with an aftermarket intake and no airpump it can be done in about 20-30 mins.

So lets say i wanted to premix until i got this fixed. I can just unplug the pump and premix 2 stroke in right? Or do i need to do a omp blockoff in order to do that. I am running a Power FC ECU

I had to do this fix for a friends car. Not difficult for a real mechanic!

IIRC, your OMP sensor will sit at about 2.5v. IIRC, it's intended range is from 1v to 5, so it's right in the middle. Not sure, but I'm
guessing that's generally too much oil at lower rpm and not enough at higher rpm.

looks like im gonna solder them tomorrow. I have to take my water pump housing off because its leaking on the back side, so i should have a fair amount of room to work with and hopefully not have to remove the omp at all.
