To omp or not to mop?
Putting my engine back in tomorrow or the next. I run a haltech so the omp is not needed anymore, but i hear it still runs at 50% even with no control, This kind of safety margin seems like a good thing to me. Then again I do run 16oz's of 2stroke per fill up so maybe im just lowering my octane rating by putting that much oil back in.
If i decide not to use it do i just make a flat plate the same shape as the omp would be and mount it where it went? what happens to the thing inside the engine that the omp turns?
If i deside to keep it in the car what should i use for the lines on it, (i want to replace the old brittle plastic ones)
any insight is appreciated.

No it's not Turbo'd
Gotham makes replacements, I'd say keep 'em in, since you might want to go stock or PFC or other ecu later...
I have no oppinion on Premix since I don't know enough about how premix affects flashpoint, and VE, and injector duty.

I say keep it and install the adapter (http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_in...p_adaptors.htm) I've got one, I dont use my ast for the cooling system anymore so I use it for my 2stroke oil supply.

also those adapters look like they have the male side of the thing on them? Im not near my engine at the moment but if i remember correctly the omp has the male and the engine has the female.

yea the omp "plugs" into the engine and is driven. i have heard the 50 percent also. with it working you know what you are getting but at 50 percent could cause more trouble than good. you premix already why always wonder if it is getting to much or not enough.

And i dont know that the omp runs 50% without control, I read on the forum that it does though.
If you look at that adapter it fits in between the block and the omp, Instead of the omp pulling oil from the block it pulls the oil through that nipple on the adapter, you run that nipple to a canaster of 2 stroke oil.

it's a pain when it's -20 degrees out
the bitch of the matter is the premix flows slower when it's cold too!
i froze my *** off in winter with my FC.
i buy the gallon **** at wal-mart and put in the car. It didn't sit too well and now my FC has a pre-mix perfume
