Omp-limpmode-pfs purple box?

I was searching around all day long trying to figure out if my ecu will go to limp mode by removing the stock OMP even though i have a PFS purple box ecu attached. I want to run premix of the tank.

I believe you'll have to go to a full stand-alone to avoid Limp Mode.

I while back when i had my FC i taped the OMP for it to receive premix in the small oil chamber and make a plate to block the oil coming from the engine.I have never taken my OMP apart so i don't know if this can be done.Have you heard of anything mads done to the stock FD OMP other than going full stand alone?

The PFS does not monitor or interface with the OMP, so it will behave as a stock ECU as far as the OMP is concerned.

Speed is correct. My OMP went out and my car was in limp mode. Purple Box couldn't prevent it or change it, just gave me the message that it wasn't working with the CEL code.

There is an adapter someone makes to use a pre-mix tank. I spoke to the maker/engineer back in 2004. He told me it wouldn't fit in there w/ twins. Keep searching the net, you should find it. I just replaced my OMP with a low mileage one off a Cosmo.

AFAIK, the OMP is an assembly (pump, stepper motor and sensor) and not designed to be separated.
If you want to run 2-cycle oil and keep a stock or re-programmed ECU, I think your only option is something like Rotary Aviation's adapter. http://www.rotaryaviation.com/oil_in...p_adaptors.htm

my PFC sensor switch screen had the omp light up and it was in limp mode. Had to replace the omp and it went away so apparently my omp went bad or something, not sure why.

i am going to look into taping the stock omp to receive premix. I had done something similar with an fc pump but i am not sure if it can be done with the fd.
