omori gauges

Anybody know of other places where I can get omori gauges besides the RX-7 Store and straight from Malaysia? Jason is still finishing things with the new distributors and getting them from Malaysia would be a bi@ch with shipping, so those two are out for right now. I checked out rotorsports racing too, but they only have one gauge available on their website. Please let me know if there are any other sources for these gauges out there right now.

Why is shipping a bitch? I was quoted $30 for express shipping for 3 gauges and a single din gauge pod. BTW, you can also order from www.omori-na.com, they are the north american distributor.

Also to let you know, Omori is in the process of developing a custom line of gauges for the FD. They will have red needles with orange/amber backlighting with chrome bezels. They are finalizing them right now (supposedly).

Exactly what I wanna know. Jason said he would make some calls last week and be done with new distributors, but....haven't heard back from him yet. Guess he doesn't want my money .

rynberg- I thought shipping would be terrible because I shipped this guy that lives in the Repub. of Dominica an amplifier a while back and he told me it cost him big $$$ just to get it through customs. I figured my fate would be similar to get foreign items through U.S. customs. The gov. has a million and one ways to squeeze more money out of us .

Nope. I just emailed Greg at Omori North America, he said that they are testing out prototypes in an actual FD. I assume they are really trying to match the font, color and overall look. I don't know any details as to what exact gauges they are going to run. Personally, I hope they make elect boost, elect water temp, and exhaust gas temp. Would go great in their single din 3-gauge mount.

Cerreently those custom gauges are still not available.
For your information, we are still in process to collect the most popular gauge that requested ( such like the gauge size, type-mechanical or electrical , gauge type-boost, oil pressure etc.. ) to our manufacturer , so that those gauges will be able to add to our products line with no minimum order requested.
Currently we can supply those custom gauges at a minimum order of 30 units per item only, therefore we are still unable to supply them to end-users unless there have a group buy.

Again, thanks for your interest and support and should you need any additional information or details, please do not hesitate to contact us again,
Perhap you could let us know the gauges which you wish to add to your performance sport car as a reference and record to our marketing report which our manufacturer is requested, for a further arrangement.

Sincerely Yours

Michael Pang sent me a response to pricing on the specific gauges I wanted, but I'm not sure if they are the new custom RX-7 ones or not. I'm assuming they aren't, but I may just have to go with what he has offered me since I would like to get the two gauges I need within the next two weeks.

I have actually been in contact with Greg at Omori North America, not Michael Pang in Malaysia. Of course, I could be getting the run around but it sounded like they were coming along on the design.

Well, I guess I'll just bite the bullet and see what comes up as far as total costs with shipping.

inukai and canman6969 - I'll send you both a PM about the gauges I need and then see who will offer me the lowest price.
