And thanks for telling us about your motor. That really has alot to do with this topic

Don't be so quick to judge...plus it's a DAMN SHIFT BOOT!!!
WTF MATE?

Oh well. Who knew the little tear in the rubber seal was going to be enough to spooge water into the car? My buddy and I were actually joking about how funny it might be if that happened minutes earlier, it was the farthest thing from our minds. I'm done explaining myself!
I thoght it was funny, everything dried up nicely, so no harm no foul!

But I'd hope ppl take heed from the 1001 pre-existing issues w/ the FD that make it not such a good idea (bad headlights, rear wheel drive, very light, easy to overcorrect, sudden power jerk from twins...etc etc)
I basically daily my FD in the summer months, just because I hate driving my beater.. and I love the whole horsepower thing. Rain, shine, whatever.. I drive it.
99% of the time I'm not boosting, not getting on it, and just cruising.. and in the rain.. no boost unless I feel like spinning my tires and going nowhere.
good god, first off not replacing a shift boot the second you find out its torn is not poor car care, poor car care is driving for 20,000 miles and never checking the oil. second rx-7's are a blast in the rain, its just good plain fun if you want it to be, or another day on the road if you want it to be.
and the same thing happened to my buddy and i in his s13 when we nailed a puddle after we installed his sr20/tranny.
