Okay for motor to sit?

I've downed my car to diagnose the sequential issues and to do a vacuum job. That was 6 months ago. Since then I've decided to do the single conversion. I drained the oil a few times because of fuel in the oil but never ran the car for about 6 months. Is this an issue? It's sitting with no coolant or oil.
Should I fill it up with oil and give it a few cranks by hand?
Will the sitting cause any major issues? I forsee another 2 or 3 months of downtime max.

Put a bit of mmo in the spark plug holes and rotate by hand every once in a while just to keep the seals and springs moving. Itll be fine.

Does it matter if I have oil in the pan? I'm trying to avoid having oil there as I have a bad leak I will address after I finish the engine bay.
Thanks for the advice, will do!

I think it depends on the environment its in. If its in a garage away from the elements and moisture, I wouldnt really worry about much. If it is somewhere where corrosion can happen quickly or left to the elements then Id be more concerned and take proactive measures like using some fogging oil. I personally would just leave it drained of oil and make sure internal parts stay lubricated with the MMO.

It is outside. I'll try to fog it, not sure how effective it'll be with the car not running. Actually just read that maybe 20 minutes ago. Thanks again.

Mine sat for a year before I started it earlier this month, I had some premix in it and rotated it couple times a week, but my car is in the garage.

So added some oil and spun the crank around again. Decided to record the noise. Anyone else think it sounds weak? I know this is not a good way to judge it and not anywhere near as consistent as using the starter to turn the motor but since I had to do it anyways...

Put some spark plugs in it and turn it over. You will get a better feel for it.

What do you mean by that? Lol. I mean I guess I'd find out when I try, if only it wasn't raining..

If your plugs are in you wont be bleeding compression out of the open holes, which is why you arent feeling as much resistance when turning it over by hand. Honestly I think youre worrying a bit too much. If the engine was in good condition when parked and as long as nothing catastrophic is happening to it in the meantime itll be fine.
