Okay, i just spoke to lance at LA motorsport....
ok mate i will look into it. I would only consider it if i could find one second hand - it is just too much really (though i have 1500 bux spare, but that is for rims
i will keep you informed on monday when i would have hopefully been sent the pictures of the vehicle.

First off the car is not located in La, it is located in Texas. LA Motorcars is about 10 miles from Rotary Performance. Second, the warranty Lance offers is a 3 year 36k warranty that you pay an additional 1k for. The warranty is an Omni Care extended warranty and is accepted at any licensed repair shop and will still cover the engine, tranny, etc.. as long as the mods are minor..
I bought a car from him about 3 months ago. i originally thought LA motorcars was in CA also. Rotary Performance does all of his compression tests and service work..

donny is correct. The warranty can be serviced at any shop that is ASE Master certified. Including dealerships...
However, just because the car is sold modded doesn't change the fact that the warranty only trully covers STOCK cars. As stated before, this is only a problem if the adjuster comes out and can realize that it is modded. My car is slightly modded and I haven't had a problem (only had rear bushings and AC work done and no adjuster came out). There is a $100 deductable per service I recall though.

I think everyone in this thread is aware that LA Motorcars is in TX. I've driven past it quite a few times.
The issue is that homeboy is potentially buying a modded car. If he lived in the dfw area, no problemo---RP can work on it. But he doesn't; he lives in LA. So he wants to avoid having an LA Motorcars 7 in LA that can't be worked on under warranty.

Donny - lots of questions for you.
Did you buy your car without seeing it?
Did you find lance helpful?
How many miles did it have?
Were you able to see a compression test before you bought it i.e. did they fax one to you?
Did you have any other worries or problems?
Thanks Donny.
Also, goodfella, will an "adjuster" (what is that?) be able to tell that the car has been modded considering the ones i told you earlier in the thread?

.So you might have a potential problem on your hand in the future, esp. if the adjuster is an ******* hardass as they commonly are. Once with an insurance claims adjuster I got very lucky......he pulled up in an M3 so I bullshitted with him so much about cars he threw in a free new lip spoiler along with the repair on the front bumper
.Good luck in your quest for Maximum Poontang, my friend. Werd
LOL thanks man - i have so many damn questionsfor Lance it is crazy...
maybe you can answer my question about the turbo's.
I gotta ask him about the compression, whether a near gearbox was added with the new engine and clutch. If it wasn't changed, i am going to have to simply go by his word and take it that it is in good condition with no 5th gear syncro problems...
Would new turbo's have been added if the engine was replaced? If not, i will have to ask if they have been rebuilt and or if they have any leaks.
Gotta ask if it has a power fc, if the new engine has had minor recalls changed i.e. the water pump seal, upper radiator hoses, thermostat gasket.

If RP checked over it, the car *should* be in good shape.
I think i will call them and ask them questions about the car that i just mentioned, without telling Lance - they may tell me some things that he, as a dealer would happen to forget to mention

Gladly, I haven't killed anyone while out here. I've been in a few tight spots though. Thanks for the compliment
