OK guys, need some help with new motor not turning over
First I did a search, did rule out most obvious and common problems got the same result: Anyway i blew my original motor last year I removed it sent out to get rebuild, meanwhile I put a jdm motor drove the car until I get my new motor, i just pull the jdm and put back my new built motor last week, prep fuel, oil pressure and check spark, new plugs all check out good, motor will crank but won't turn over until my battery die. I did not change anything during the swap, anyway my setup is single turbo setup, pfc, oem primary injectors, ID 2000. Also I notice the new build was a lot tougher to turn just checking rotation before i installed it.
Can stronger compression motor required more cranking amps to turn over?
Thanks,
Khris

Please clarify: The starter is turning the engine, the engine is spinning, but is not firing? Or it's sputtering and dying? It's getting spark or not getting spark? It's spraying fuel or not spraying fuel? Are you getting a tach signal on the PFC?

compression, not sure but from even pulse I would assume it is, but I guess it take 10 minutes to do the compression test which i will do to rule it out.
Okay, just to be clear..."turning over" mean the engine cranks. "NOT STARTING" is not "not turning over". It sounds like the engine IS "turning over", meaning it cranks but does not start, correct? It is important to use the right terminology when seeking help.
^as I kept reading his posts I was thinking the same thing to myself, lol.
Since you've tried starting the car, ie you've been cranking (turning it over) but it hasn't started yet, it's probably flooded by now.
