Oil temp sensor install help
Hi guys,
i am going to install an oil temp sensor through the use of a sandwich adapter under the oil filter like this one:
has anybody already used something like that and would like to give some advices? is there any instruction files somewhere that i am not aware of?
doesnt seem like a big challenge to me, but i would like to be sure not to find any surprise.
thanks for your help!
ciao!

I used a sandwich adapter as well, and the only problem is that now it raises the oil filter up to a height that makes it impossible for me to change the oil filter without removing the intake elbow first. I think that also I had a clearance issue with some kind of idle adjustment screw, so i had to chop off a tiny bit of it so I could get the filter on.

a little bit more expensive, but this is what i ended up getting, i had no fitment problems at all, just a little bit of Teflon tape around the threads for each sensor and no leaks.

kyleaudio, I have seen those but I was cheap at the time I got mine adapter sandwich. I may go back and get one like that, because I like the idea that it replaces the stock pedestal rather than go on top. But the sandwich plate works fine, it's just annoying to have to take off the elbow to change my filter. Oh and like ^ said, yes use teflon tape and you should be good to go.

I bought one of those sandwich plates, could not get the damn thing to seal right for some reason.
Returned it and bought http://mrcmfg.com/catalog/product_in...products_id=72
has 1 1/8 npt port and 1 1/4 npt port. So you can use the temp sender and pressure sender.
Been working great so far.
