Oil Temp Adapter

Did the search, most threads are kind of old. Are there any new sources for the oil takeoff plate that goes under the filter to connect gauge sensors. Seems like the Greddy one is too long and the others are not currently in production. ???

Did you read this one? RE makes a great aftermarket pedastel w/ 2- 1/8 npt sensor fittings. I have one installed in my car and it works great. Oil temp and oil pressure is what I am running. Hope this helps. It is a bit tricky to install w/ motor in the car but have patience. I got it in alright. G

If you don't want to mess with that, VDO makes an oil temp sender that replaces the stock oil pan drain plug. Just remove your OEM plug, and put this one in. It doesn't get much easier than that. It has a spade connector for easy connecting. Here's a pic of a similar one on ebay:

I have been using mine for years, with no problems.

I just drilled and tapped the banjo bolt for the rear oil cooler line. See here -

I don't know the thread size. It's the same as the drain plug.

I bought mine at www.egauges.com

They have a toll free numebr, and can get you the right part 1-800-303-6211
