Oil return line help
Oil return line help
OK-- Yesterday was a long day but I got my old turbos removed, holy **** they were blown. When I took them off I the exhaust wheel from my primary was just sitting in the manifold not connected to anything. ANYWAY-- I have my new set bolted up and the secondary oil return line is all lined up and connected. The only thing is, the primary oil return line is damn near impossible to see and I can't seem to get it lined up. I tried using an awl to get the first nut in, but even when I do I can only get the spacing (non-threaded) part of the bolt in and it won't seem to grip. Does anyone know of any tips to help get these little bastards on?

Use a longer 10mm bolt with more threads and not the bolts that were originally in there. The return line is a flex pipe so it will bend...a little to cinch up the gap. Just be sure not to cross thread those bolts.

ROFLl sorry for laughing but i was in the same situation some time ago.I was fighting for 4-5 hours to bolt that little bastard. At the end i used a cable tie to the upper hole of the hard line(to allign the pipe). Then it was a matter of seconds for the bolt to go in....
