oil pump??? help!?

hi

i was being stupid last night, and tried to smoke my tires in a parking lot. Anywayz so i dump the clutch and hit the brakes and rev the engine, tires screem but i dont rev it high enought, so the torque band drops and i choke the engine. Right after i start my car up again, i realize my oil presure isnt going up when i hit the gas and get into boost.

When engine is cold and i start it up, it stays at 4kg/cm2 and when it gets warm it drops to 2kg/cm2. when im idle it drops as usual close to zero and goes back up when i drive. when i get into high revs the pressure dosent go and stay as if "idle".

Did i brake my oil pump? is there an oil pump? where is the oil pump?? is my stock gauge broken?? is the sensor loose and dosent read the pressure??

Im really lost and havnt had the time to do anything yet, and before i do id want to know a heads up on what i should be looking out for.

I drove it home and am scared for the engine. I drove to work today and the pressure is still the same, althought pressure is low im not sure its high enought for me to drive without causing any damage. what do you think??

Jakub

the stock gauge is not trustworthy at all ,
you might have simply shocked the sensor while dropping the clutch ,
best to get an aftermarket oil pressure gauge installed and take it from there for now

if you have any questions just call me ... we live i the same city lol i can have a look at your fd if you want to bring it over

The oil pump on these engines is mechanical. It's changed to the e-shaft. Now it is possible for the key to fall out, this the oil pump wouldn't turn with the e-shaft but that typically is a build error and happens fairly quickly after starting up a new build.

If you are using the stock oil pressure gauge, most likely there is just something wrong with the oil pressure sender. It's located under the oil filter. Try removing the sensor connector, cleaning the spade connector and the harness side connector, and then reconnect it. See if that changes your readings.
