Car not starting now... weird static noise

Ok, so I've got fuel pressure now, but after I primed the car, cranked it, and attempted to start it, it wouldn't start. It would just jump from 0-200RPMS. On the commander I went to look at the ignition timing and one of them showed 6 and the other showed 0. Is this a problem with my spark plugs or maybe I didn't wire them correctly? After I attempt to start the car and I walk up to the engine, I can hear a hum, then slowly the hum turns into the sound of like when you pick up the phone while you are online with dial up. So, what do you guys think it is?

Did you pull the EGI to prime the oil system? If so, did you make sure it's back in place? Have you checked to make sure you are getting spark?

Yea, I put the EGI Fuse back into place. Well the timing for my trailing is 0 so does that mean I'm not getting spark?

Here's a good thread about starting issues which have some troubleshooting tips around the coils:

The hum might be your ics. Check the black plastic valve between the firewall and uim it has a white harness plug on it.

Ok, yea I took that off and the hum disappears. Could the problem possibly be that my battery doesn't have enough power? I'm pulling 8.5V when my car is attempting to crank.

The commander showing zero doesn't mean you aren't getting spark. I've never messed with the timing using the commander but the zero is either showing the split or the actual timing for trailing. A good strong battery will make a huge difference in starting the car.

If my plugs are fouled, would push starting my car turn the car on?

Also, I tried to take out my spark plugs but they are in TIGHT. Anyone have any tips on how to take them out easier?

Any help is much appreciated.

pull starting might work. you can get higher rpms out of it. but if the car is flooded really bad it might not make a difference. pull the plugs. are they wet with fuel?

Ok, so I bought new plugs. I took the plug and plugged the wire to the plug without putting the plug into the engine. I grounded it on some metal, and had someone start the car. No spark. So, does anyone know what this means? Also, I'm pretty sure my car is flooded right now too because I smell fuel, but I want to figure out the spark problem first. So if anyone can help me, PLEASE DO!!!!

you have no spark on any of your wires? or just one or two?
could be coils, igniter, coil short harness is a common failure point, CAS

look in the FSM on ways to test everything. Check the FAQ if you need to DL the FSM
