oil in primary turbo piping
Dissassembly of primary turbo piping revealed what I believe to be excessive engine oil throughout the piping. Does anyone have any experience with this. Checking the primary turbine showed a little free play "wobble" on the turbine. I'm guessing that the turbine is worn out. Can anyone give me advice on replacing "cartridge"?. Might as well replace DP too.
Thanks

Turbos normally have a little play in the shaft when moved sideways. That is OK. But there should not be any play along
the axis of the shaft (in and out).
Most oil in the inlet to #1 turbo comes from the tube that leads to the oil filler neck and engine block breathing. Blowby forces
a little oil to collect around that area and this is also normal.
Oil leakage around the turbo bearings can go into the intake or out the exhaust. Unless this causes excessive smoking or high oil usage, don't worry about it.
