Oil Pressure Sensor

Well I asked before how to hook this up, and I got it in this morning. Now I am wondering what kind of pressure readings I should get? It is in Metric, or kg/cm squared. I pull about 2.5 at idle, is this correct? I just changed the oil and it shot to 8.0 when I cranked it, then eventually came down. Thanks guys.

factory spec is greater than 50 psi at 3000 rpm. which should be somewhere above 4 kg/cm. this is on a warm engine. it is still cold in va so i would expect it to be high at first. what weight you running? hey the greddy just screwed in right? no leaks?

It is about 55 today, maybe 60. This is on 10W-30 Mobil1 Synthetic. Yes, the Greddy just screwed in and I did not see in leaks.

This **** is wierd, now it idles at about 2.0 kg/cm squared. Isn't that just bar like the boost? 1.0 kg/cm squared would equal 14.7 PSI correct? It seems like it idles low, but I have no oil leaks and the pressure goes up when I hit the gas. I took off the nipple when I installed the new sensor because it seemed like I would not need it, it didn't look lik eit would do anything. This is ok correct?

At idle, you should have ~2 kg/cm^2. At 3000 rpm, you should have ~3.5-4.2 kg/cm^2. Approaching redline, you should be ~8 kg/cm^2 or so.

BTW, it seems a little strange to buy an expensive gauge without even knowing what the numbers should be?

Doesn't matter, I didn't know what it should be in PSI either. So either way I had no idea.
