oil pressure sender removal

How did you guys remove the oil pressure sender? I looked at it earlier tonight, and it seems I'll have to do it from under the car? Is it as simply getting a box wrench on there and unscrew it?

thanks,

Randy

If you remove the gray rubber/plastic shroud, there is a big hex there you can put a socket or wrench on. I think it is big size (about an inch?), so you might need to get a new wrench to fit or use a big adjustable wrench. I suppose you could use a small wrench on the engine side, too, as the sensor threads into a stand-off or adapter with a hex body rather than screwing directly into the engine housing. I removed mine from the top of the engine with the elbow removed. But it might be easier from the bottom.
