Oil Pressure ? at Idle

Guys,

I noticed today that at idle that my oil pressure guage warning light would appear as it would drop to about 1.5bar or a little below. When I was driving, whenever I took my foot of the gas my oil pressure would drop very low and my car actually stalled. At first I thought it could be the oil pressure sensor, but I have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge so that shouldn't be an issue right? And that fact that it made my car stall means there's something more than just a sensor issue. Checked the oil level and it appeared fine. Anyone have any ideas? Ran some searches and most people seemed to have had problems with just the oil pressure sensor. Thanks, as always.

Victor

One other question. I have an aftermarket oil pressure guage too. And both of them were dropping. Do both gauges read off the same sending unit? Thanks.

Anyone? Doesn't seem right that my aftermarket oil pressure gauge is jumping too. Thanks in advance.

Are both your gauges working off the stock oil pressure sensor? If so, that is probably your problem; the stock sensor needs to be replaced.
