Oil pressure gauge

I posted this in interior/exterior section with no help.

I got this Autometer oil pressure gauge. It's electric with sender. This sender looks big just like the stock one. I was just wondering where do you guys install yours?

Can I just remove the stock one and put this one in or tap into the stock one or what? My stock one is not accurate anyway. The stock one only has one wire, so is it possible to install this sender and then tap the stock wire into this one?

Thanks

You can replace the stock sender with the Autometer one. There was a long post about it last year.

You can also mount it in something like the Greddy oil filter block adapter. I have this setup with my Defi oil temp sender. (I think almost all aftermarket senders use 1/8" NPT.)

Just install it in place of the stock sender. That's what I did (not the same OP gauge, but same idea).

ok cool. I'll leave the stock one unhooked then. Just one more question, If i do leave the stock one unhooked, is he maybe connected to the ecu or something?

Also that light on the stock gauge, will that still work?

thanks

You can buy one from the rx7store, they don't have it listed on the site.
