Exclamation OIL pressure drops

Hi guys

I have a 93 fd. Oil pressure sometimes drops while the fan is spinning. When it drops, oil gage reading is 0, nothing. I guess this happens when engine is hot.
I have no idea, and I will use some additive to clean the engine and oil lines.
Anything can halp. I will wait for your comments.
Thanks in advance.

The oil pressure sender on FD's are notorious for going bad. Cleaning the contact of the electrical terminal may help for short-term. But most likely, you'll need to replace it (~$80). Search the forums for more info on this.

Is it a serious problem?

Oil pressure sensor only does not read the oil pressure correctly? or the actual oil pressure drops?

The former. Search for "oil pressure sender".

yea the oil pressure unit is faulty by nature. why do you think in japan they did away with it for a boost gauge? you should be fine if your motor is still running when it says 0psi.
