I am seeing 0 and close to 0 at idle and it builds gradually proportionally to RPM, the pressure is quite high when the car is first started but once warm I see 0 at idle. This may be more appropriate to Canadian owners because I believe our guages are in a different unit... please let me know what you guys are seeing on your guages, just want to know if this is normal.

 

It's normal for all RX-7s. It is just the crappy oil sending unit going bad.

 

Mine does the same... Sometimes it'll even work normally for a bit, then it just seems to get.. stuck. Like it doesn't go back up but it'll still drop down. Either get a new sending unit, or better a new gauge and aftermarket unit. Just check your oil regularly and hope your oil pump doesn't fail or something hehe.
