Im going to re due my oil pan cuase its starting to leak way too much. Anyone has any advice before I start would be great. And also how much time do you think it would take. I would do it using a hoist and air tools.

take the fron wheeles of and disconnect the bottom mount on the shocks first, then make sure to remove the 4 bolts holding the power steering rack to the crossmember, you want to be able to drop the crossmember down as far as possible to make it easy to remove and re-mount the oil pan. It seems like a lot of work but in actuality it is easy, just a little time consuming. The first time I did it in my garage with jacks and hand tools it took me like 8 hours......being cautious tho. I have done it in under 3 with the same tools and jacks. make sure to clean the pan mounting surface and the bottom of the engine's cleaning surface with paint thinner or lacquer thinner. I also recommend when you put the pan back on using silicone gasket maker (ima tech for mbz and I just used the same crap we use on benz's) but let it dry overnite before you put any oil in it......I haven't lost a drip of oil since and I didn't use the factory gasket either.

Under 3 hours is speedy ,I estimate 5 hours for my customers , from under the car on jackstands as well . Let the sealer set up as in the directions .Check with the RX7 store for one of my oil pan braces for a complete job .
