I know what he's saying , I understand that I do not need the brace WITH the oil pan , but I do already have the brace , so if I get the pan I dont think there would be any harm in using them together .

Your motor will be raised up that much more. Some people have already noted some clearance problems with certain strut bars after installing the GZ oil pan, let alone adding the brace.

Sometimes just because you have it isn't always a good reason to use it (no sex related jokes please ).

If hood clearance is the only issue , then I am sure I can make it work.
