oil pan question...

Ok, so yeah it is my oil pan that's leaking. No big surprise. Are there any real fixes for it other than replacing it with an aftermarket one? I could go with another OEM one but wouldn't the problem just occur again? Been looking around and there's a few posts for 1st and 2nd gen just not much on the 3rd gen...how hard is it to remove the oilpan? Is it something that's a day job if I have a lift? I'm hoping this my only oil problem and hopefully that's what causing it to smoke. It's trailing onto the exhaust so I'm guessing when it heats up it's burning it and smoking. Any recommendations?

You can get an after market one with an o-ring (Groundzerro, Pineapple, A-Spec, etc...) or you could dry sump it and get a flat plate for the bottom of the engine.
I cleaned my oil pan off real good, and used "The Right Stuff for Imports" gasket sealer and put it back together and let it sit for a few days without oil and haven't had a leak since.

For oil to run down your exhaust pipe that usually means a leak around the turbos. Also a leaking rear main oil seal can make it look like you have an oil pan leak so remove the inspection panel on the transmission and see if you have black goo covering the bell housing and behind the flywheel. If you do some searching you'll find some writeups on resealing the oil pan and you can do it in a day with jackstands and an engine hoist.
