Oil pan metal gasket??

Yes, I've spent a few days looking and searching both online, and the forum, and I just can't find it.

Sometime ago I was just searching around, and came across some Canadian RX-7 shop that advertised a metal oil pan gasket they claimed was the end of all oil pan leaks.

Has anybody else come across this?? If not, I take it most people are just using just heavy duty sealant, and not the gasket. I have seen a number of threads on how much of a pain it is to do this bit. A friend of mine just took apart his motor, and I was looking for this gasket for him, and also my oil pan has developed a leak, and I am dreading having to take care of it.

Anybody?

It is a Canadian company called Staff's.
It's not a gasket It's an aluminum flange that fits on the
outside edge of the pan.
It looks like a good idea, but if your pan isn't perfectly
flat, the flange won't help you.
Someone else is also making a better pan. You'll have
to search for it tho.
Anything would be an improvement over the Mazda pan. I couldn't believe how much oil is left in the pan when you think you drained all your oil.
The drain plug design leaves about 1 pint of oil inside
with the plug out.

i've got one being installed. Omochi just got one in his FD. I think SleepR1 also has one and he's a track junkie.

The other option may be A-Spec's replacement oil pan which incorporates this reinforcement.
